Each pack contains three vegan wax wraps, in sizes small, medium and large. These wraps can replace foil, cling film or even zip lock bags for storing food and covering bowls. Unlikely many of the wax food wraps on the market, these wraps are vegan, soya and palm oil free.
Made using 100% organic cotton and a natural, sustainable and non-toxic vegan wax that is a by-product of the food industry and would otherwise be disposed of. These wraps are 100% food-grade and safe to use in direct contact with food.
Please note, wax wraps are not suitable for anything hot. Do not use in the microwave, oven or dishwasher. Always allow food to cool completely before covering or wrapping.
Wax food wraps are also not recommended to use with raw meat or fish as they can’t be washed at high temperatures.
How to use and care instructions:
These wraps are ready to use out of the package, using the warmth of your hands to mold the wrap around the food or around the edge of a bowl. The warmth will slightly melt the wax allowing it to stick to itself and seal around the food. Store at room temperature, in the fridge or in the freezer.
To wash your wraps, use cold or lukewarm water and gentle soap. Do not use hot water as this will melt the wax. Allow them to dry naturally and they’ll be ready to use again. With care a wax wrap can last at least a year, at which point they can either be refreshed with new wax or home composted.
